Hello, I’m Nat.

As one of the few women to have been principal of a design agency in the UK, my passion is raising the profile of women in the creative industries.

In 2015, I founded Kerning the Gap, a community for like-minded people who want to see more women in design leadership roles, hear their voices and be inspired to create real and tangible change in the industry.

Whilst I passionately believe that it is not the responsibility of the individual to change the system (that sits with those of us who already have power) my work has given me the privilege of deep insight into the issues that affect women’s career journeys, and ways that we can all show up with more support.

During my own career, I was CEO at London brand consultancy, Pollitt & Partners, one of the only employee-owned creative agencies in the world, headed up the London studio of Good as Managing Director, and was Group Communications Director at, Elmwood. I’ve also had time client side as Managing Director of plant-based media brand, BOSH!.

I am a frequent columnist in the design press and am honoured to have been inducted into the Design Week Hall of Fame for services to diversity.

I continue to provide brand & comms consultancy via my co-founded business Shuug, as well as leading the charge with Kerning the Gap into it’s second decade.

I spend the remainder of my time raising teenagers, chasing a disobedient Schnauzer and failing to convince my friends that gardening is cool.
