Workshops

In my work with Kerning the Gap, there are a number of topics that come up time and again when talking to women about what they feel challenges them from achieving their full potential at work. I recognise them, (deeply) because I have not only lead hundreds of women through them, I’ve experienced them too.

Confidence, credibility and the foundations of how to lead are key skills that we think should be innate, but they are all just skills. Skills that absolutely can be learnt.

These core workshops have been designed specifically to demystify these areas, giving participants both theory and real world application, tools, techniques and practices, that remove these perceived hurdles and bring out the best of everyone’s potential.

They are delivered in-house, in person (ideal) or online (totally doable if needed), and can be adapted for any size group from 2 to 25.

Impact and Influence

This workshop looks at what impact and influence means at work, and why confidence is so closely linked. We’ll look at the “3 Pillars of Impact” and how impact is based on skills and mindset, not personality type.

This is a reflective, empowering and skills based session that leaves attendees with a clearer sense of where they can have influence, with exercises and tools that help to develop how they show up and how they are seen.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Whilst the focus of my work has always been about supporting women, there is no way that this could have been possible without the amazing support and sponsorship of the men in our industry too.

The course content of these workshops has been designed to get to the heart of issues that women commonly experience, but these are definitely subjects that all genders would benefit from.

If you have a mixed team, and people of any gender identity that you feel would benefit, please give me a call and we can absolutely talk about a mixed gender session.

  • The majority of our industry is made up of businesses with less than 10 people, so each workshop can be adapted for anything from 2 to 25 attendees.

If you have more than 25 people give me a call, and we can talk about other formats such as a 1 hour ‘lunch and learn’ style talk.

  • Whilst in-person is always the ideal environment for workshops, I’m well versed at adapting content for online sessions - making them fun, interactive and with all of the components of sharing and learning baked in.

Alternatively we can find a really reasonably priced space for your team to attend in person. Just give me a shout to discuss options.

  • Yes! This is a great structure for a foundational course of supporting women at work.

If you’d like to do that, it will save you a little money too as I’ll also deduct 10% from the total fee. Bonus.

  • Of course! I love to travel, and have agencies in every city in the UK that I have worked with at some point.

I will ask you to cover travel expenses, but I’ll make those as reasonable as I can (booking in advance helps!). And if I’ve a friend near you, I won’t clobber you for hotel costs either.

  • Absolutely. I have extensive experience of working with neurodiverse individuals, and all individual learning styles are celebrated and supported.

My aim is always to ensure that everyone is made to feel important and encouraged to take part. All voices will be heard.
